Musical Desire<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026the heart wants what it wants.\u201d The longing for those rare moments of musical magic turned out to be too strong. I, Charles Croes, initially planned to dive into the recording process and spend time tinkering with technology and songs. Maybe, as an addition, I would occasionally take on a small, casual musical project or something similar.<\/p>\n

However, I gradually began to realize that the true magical moments in music are found with a live band on stage\u2014preferably performing original songs. Connecting with your fellow musicians and communicating through music is a constant exchange of energy. It\u2019s very vulnerable and delicate, but also the ultimate form of expression and challenge.<\/p>\n

It took a few years before this realization truly sank in. Or rather, I already knew it, but I also understood how much effort it takes to get a band so well-rehearsed that you can truly capture that magic.<\/p>\n

The musicians for a new band more or less came my way naturally\u2014I didn\u2019t even have to look for them. Musicians who seem to appear by chance are often the best ones, believe me.<\/p>\n

The New Band<\/strong><\/p>\n

CHARLEY CRUZ & THE PARADISE PEOPLE\u2014that\u2019s the name of the band.
LOVE WILL FIND A WAY\u2014that\u2019s the name of the album.<\/p>\n

If I had to describe the music, it would be difficult. Let\u2019s say it ranges from americana to folk-pop and bluegrass\u2014but perhaps just a little different.<\/p>\n

Het muzikale verlangen<\/p>\n

……het bloed kruipt waar het niet gaan kan. Het verlangen naar van die spaarzame momenten van muzikale magie bleek te groot. Ik, Charles Croes, was in eerste instantie van plan om mij te gaan verdiepen in het opnameproces en lekker te gaan freubelen met techniek en liedjes. En wellicht als toevoeging af en toe een los-vast muzikaal project of iets dergelijks.<\/p>\n

Ik begon echter steeds meer te beseffen dat je de werkelijke magie momenten in de muziek kan vinden met een live band op het toneel. En het liefst met eigen songs natuurlijk. De verbinding zoeken met jouw medemuzikanten en muzikaal communiceren, is een constante uitwisseling van energie en erg kwetsbaar en delicaat, maar de ultieme expressie en uitdaging.<\/p>\n

Er gingen echter wat jaartjes voorbij voordat dat besef goed tot mij doordrong. Althans, ik wist dat eigenlijk al, maar ik wist ook hoeveel moeite je moet doen om een band goed ingespeeld te krijgen om die magie te kunnen pakken. De muzikanten voor een nieuwe band kwamen eigenlijk zo,n beetje aangewaaid. Ik hoefde er niet eens naar te zoeken. Ogenschijnlijk toevallig aanwaaiende muzikanten zijn vaak het tofste, geloof mij.<\/p>\n

Als ik de muziek zou moeten omschrijven wordt het lastig . Laten we zeggen vanaf americana tot aan folkpop en bluegrass, maar dan wellicht net iets anders .<\/p>\n
